At Mottahedeh we generally opt for lots of bold color with a style that is not shy. On the opposite end of the spectrum, white creamware made of faience, or soft paste porcelain, is our other love. Creamware has been in the offering for more than forty years. Many times, the original has been French, and yet we make ours in Italy as the craftsmanship is exceptional and historic. Faience can be made into shapely forms with lots of detail.

Inspired by the Swiss Cheese Plant, Mariposa's 19" Swiss Cheese leaf Centerpiece adds a decorative, bold statement to tablescapes and home décor. Part of our Palmy Nights Collection, the Swiss Cheese Leaf Centerpiece artfully blends modern design with natural elements. Since each piece is handcrafted, no two are exactly alike. Refined hand detailing during the casting process creates unique variations. This is what makes each product truly one of a kind.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Mottahedeh brings a high quality approach to fine stoneware. Glossy reactive glazes present beautiful color variations and a skeleton leaf image is fused delicately into the glaze. With four colorways to choose from, the tableware pieces can be inter-mixed. This special technique requires two firings rather than the typical one for stoneware. Our product is produced at the esteemed Vista Alegre Factory in Portugal. Find it under Milestone By Mottahedeh....

For the ancient peoples of the New World (New, at least, to Europeans), the pineapple was recognized as a fruit symbolizing friendship and hospitality. Families would hang pineapples outside their homes to perfume the entryway and make it welcoming to guests. It was an edible invitation!
